Position: Warehouse Technician (Mid-Atlantic) Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Director of Operations and Logistics JOB DESCRIPTION: Heartline Fitness Warehouse Technicians are responsible for performing the activities related to loading/unloading, assembling, and repairing the fitness equipment used by our commercial and residential customers. He/she will assume full responsibilities after completing a training period which will prepare him/her for the specific responsibilities outlined below. The technician will report directly to the Operations Manager who will provide the necessary training and who will evaluate job performance in conjunction with the Director of Operations and Logistics. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assembly & Quality Control* Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. * Assembles Equipment as specified in manufacturer assembly instructions. * Follows Manufacturer provided checklists/documentation to Quality Control and Test assembled unit to ensure proper operation. May include troubleshooting and calling for repairs if non-operational. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Documents actions by completing quality forms and logging serial numbers into software. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. * Assist with Receiving and Loading Operations:* Receive or direct the receipt of shipments. Communicate with the Operations Manager to resolve any problems that occur with shipments. * Load the trucks for the installation. Examine the work order and ensure that the appropriate equipment is loaded onto the truck. Ensure that the load is properly secured on the truck. * Assist with Delivery/Installation Planning:* Assist the Operations Manager in communicating with client personnel to identify all delivery and assembly requirements, including which equipment is involved and what timing requirements must be met. * Assist the Operations Manager in determining what personnel, tools, and vehicles will be required to perform the delivery/installation and in scheduling them appropriately, including reserving and coordinating the pickup of rental trucks when necessary. * Cleaning and Sanitization of Equipment* This will involve wearing Personal Protective Gear (PPE) and use of sanitizing wipes and Anti-bacterial/Anti-microbial solutions to properly clean and disinfect equipment during the installation process as outlined in the Disinfect & Protect SOP to be provided. COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: The Installer is a FLSA non-exempt hourly position with a starting wage of $13 - $17.50 an hour depending on experience, and annual earning potential of $50K . The Installer is eligible for company benefits as described in the Employee Handbook. HOURS REQUIRED: The required hours are somewhat flexible to accommodate the specific scheduling requirements of each week, but the average work week is approximately 40 to 50 hours per week, worked Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:00 am each morning. Late Start Shift Available 12pm - 8pm Weekend work is generally not required. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to work independently with optimal time management * Ability to read parts diagrams and diagnose technical equipment problems * Ability to take initiative, ownership and prioritize tasks * Ability to communicate and collaborate with customers, corporate staff, and manufacturers * Ability to remain professional in terms of dress and interaction at all times while an agent of Heartline Fitness MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * 2+ years electrical/mechanical assembly experience required * Capable of lifting 50+ lbs. * Basic drawing reading and interpretation skills * Basic knowledge in MS Office and Windows-based applications * Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly * High attention to detail and self-motivation * Proficiency in verbal and written English.
