You could handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), as the Accounting Clerk for this reputable business. Your responsibilities - Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts - Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable - Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources - Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed - Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects - Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing - Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes - Manually or electronically post financial information Job Requirements: - Outstanding data entry skills - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred - QuickBooks experience desired - Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds - Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system - 2+ years of accounting experience required Robert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled finance and accounting professionals in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
