Job Summary:

Westat is seeking an individual with a strong commitment to excellence and professionalism is needed to support project directors, study managers, and other team members on nationally significant health-related studies for government clients.  The individual we are seeking must have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment and to support multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.   The individual will work with medical directors, health professionals, and medical facility staff to ensure various study and data reporting requirements are met.


Job Responsibilities: 

• Assisting and supporting project staff with many facets of epidemiological study activities.  Supporting the operationalization of study protocols. 

• Assisting with monitoring and tracking data collection and reporting activities.

• Assisting with hiring and oversight of traveling field staff and field operations. 

• Contributing to the preparation of study procedures and communications.

• Preparing training materials and assisting with field staff training and preparing meeting materials, agenda, and minutes. 

• Working with Help Desk to resolve system issues, tracking and documenting communications with medical health professionals; and assisting with producing project reports. 

Basic Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree with a concentration in a health related field is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. 

• In-person health data collection experience is required.

The qualified candidate must demonstrate excellent oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy are required.  The willingness to travel, infrequently each year within the U.S., is desirable.
