Summary

This position is located in the Banking Relations Division of the Office of Public Affairs Department located in Washington D.C. As a Banking Relations Assistant, you will provide technical and administrative support on a wide range of outreach activities that includes developing and disseminating marketing materials, ensuring program evaluations are prepared, and the of shipping of materials and supplies in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

As a Banking Relations Assitant, you will:
  • Assist with outreach programs such as the State Association Washington Visit Program, Banker/Regulator Forum, and Meet the Comptroller meetings by coordinating meeting space, register participants, prepare name tags and tent cards, compiles handout materials and prepare meeting minutes. Serve as assistant coordinator for various OCC workshops ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information to instructors and program participants.
  • Maintain the website for the division, publishing and updating information and content on a regular basis. Create documents in a variety of formats for publication on the OCC's websites such as the Internet, Intranet, and BankNet.
  • Provide a variety of administrative and technical assistance in support of workshops that incudes developing and maintaining tracking systems, populate workshop information sheets, coordinate instructor presentation materials, prepare statistical bank reports, develop and disseminate marketing materials and bank target letters, and ensure the shipping of materials and supplies in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintains electronic files and other background information related to the various workshops and other outreach programs that are sponsored by the division. Maintain plans and documents related to all banker education programs and websites.
  • Creates a variety of spreadsheets, graphics and databases to track banking issuances, workshops, and outreach programs. Responsible for various tasks such as reviewing and editing registration reports, drafting participant confirmation letters and reminder emails, proofreading and testing vendor's online registration system and distributing pre-course supplies. Drafts and maintains reports on quarterly banking issuances.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-III band level or GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position include:

Participating in outreach program events providing support in event planning and meeting setup, distribution of marketing materials, and preparation of various written documents.

OR

You may substitute education for experience as follows: One full year of graduate education meets the requirements where it is directly related to the work of this position. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study or 18 semester hours of completed graduate level study is considered as satisfying the 1 year full-time study requirement.

OR

An equivalent combination of (the above) education and experience is qualifying for this position.

The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
