The selectee of this position serves as a Management Analyst. You will be responsible for performing resource allocation analysis and reporting; tracking USMS positions; maintaining the Data and Definition book and the District Staffing Model; conducting performance and statistical analysis, etc.

Responsibilities

As a Management Analyst at the GS-0343-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Researching and evaluating data to conduct studies, maintaining statistical models procedural and/or developing statistical formulas to model staffing allocation requirements.
  • Serving as a management analyst responsible for validating and verifying the accuracy of data used in organization databases and/or statistical models; utilizing a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for problem solving.
  • Developing and composing written presentations and routine correspondence or other written work as needed.
  • Communicating with organizations leaders and staff, internal and external customers to present facts or explain results of studies and or surveys.
  • Utilizing a variety of software packages to advise and provide technical expertise and analysis to the organization on existing and or updated guidance.
Telework statement: This position may be telework eligible. The selected candidate may work from a remote/ home office; but will be required to commute to the duty location office for intermittent projects and workgroups as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.

Qualifications

GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).

You may qualify at the GS-0343-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

1) Conducting analytical studies;
2) Identifying and analyzing information in order to provide recommendations for program improvements;
3) Analyzing historical data to report trends; and
4) Utilizing software applications (for example: Microsoft Excel, PeopleSoft) for analysis.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
