Responsibilities

The applicant will serve as an expert advisor to management with the primary responsibility for planning, coordination, oversight, development, analyzing, evaluating, and/or improving the efficiency of internal administrative operations for programs such as Budget, Peer Response, Employee Assistance, Telework, Drug Free Policy, Health Improvement, and Worker's Compensation.

Typical Work Assignments Include: Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending improvements in practices, programs, and mission areas. Conducting complex, in-depth studies and/or directing and coordinating special projects and/or working groups on significant planning issues, which have an impact on operations and/or programs of national significance. The incumbent will identify goals and objectives; develop plans of action; including planning and coordination to meet urgent deadlines; directing and coordinating the preparation of reports of progress, findings, and impact; and implement recommendations upon approval. Incumbent develops overall project objectives, goals, resource requirements, and milestones for all aspects of the assigned projects or studies.

Qualifications

To qualify for GS-14 candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include : Experience gathering and analyzing statistical data dealing with cross functional special projects that had Agency-wide impact. Examples may include strategic planning, performance goals, telework, training, or wellness programs and projects that impact expenditures. Experience should also include conducting and analyzing study results and surveys to prepare detailed and summarized reports with recommendations to ensure policy, regulation, and legal requirements are met.
