PURPOSE OF JOB The highly motivated individual will be responsible for monitoring and managing clientrsquos onsite and cloud-based infrastructure environments. We are looking for a Server engineer to include general skills supporting servers specifically and then network, storage, databases, Active Directory, and performing monitoring with SolarWinds. This person will serve as the primary technical point of contact for the customer as it relates to server infrastructure management and engineering. They will be performing the duties outlined below KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a technical and functional subject matter expert across multiple Server domain areas Use monitoring tools to Monitor for Server events and incidents Perform configuration and troubleshooting within server and routingswitchingsecurity network equipment Monitor the health and trends of the Server to proactively identify issues before events occur Perform Patching and security configuration of servers and databases as per customer requirements Ensure all systems and infrastructure are running optimally and with high availability and quality Perform server upgrades Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance activities Perform Monitoring and maintenance activities for Onsite datacenter servers, Database servers and AWS cloud VMrsquos Perform Physical to virtual server migrations Perform configuration changes and updates to systems Troubleshoot incidents to resolution and identify root cause Create tickets and manage incidents, service requests, and problems through their full lifecycle Work hands-on with various network, server, and security technologies including Dell servers, Windows and Linux servers Work with Microsoft SQL, My SQL and Oracle Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and fileprint. Work with network and storage engineers on problem solving Knowledgeable with Solarwinds monitoring software is desired Knowledgeable of dual factors authentication, using DeepNet, is desired KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proven experience and success with Server technology design and implementation Proven experience with Server capacity planning, security principles, and general server management best practices Proven experience with Dell servers, Windows and Linux servers support and administration. Proven experience with Microsoft SQL, My SQL and Oracle data bases. Proven experience with Perform Monitoring and maintenance activities for Onsite datacenter servers, Database servers and AWS cloud VMrsquos Knowledgeable with Gmail-suite Experience building, migrating, configuring and maintaining Linux server in the AWS Cloud Demonstrated Strong Active Directory and Group Policy skills. A good understanding of Network, local and WAN devices, maintenance monitoring and trouble shooting. A good understating of storage solution concepts Experience in Backup Recovery solutions Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience Willingness to work flexible hours ndash after hours troubleshooting is occasionally required Ability to understand the business and server environments of our current and potential customers and collaborate with a variety of technical and non-technical team members to arrive at comprehensive solutions. CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED one or more of the following - MCSE, MCSA, CCNA or CCSE certification MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelorrsquos degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
