Job ID: 2016655 Location: PATUXENT RIVER , MD , US Date Posted: 2020-10-22 Category: Engineering and Sciences Subcategory: Systems Engineer Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Travel: Yes, 10 % of the Time Minimum Clearance Required: Interim Secret Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: None Potential for Remote Work: No Description SAIC is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team supporting PMA 275 at NAVAIR in Patuxent River, MD.A' The selected Senior Systems Engineer will work independently and be responsible for Systems Engineering activities related to collecting, planning, and strategizing new weapon system requirements and capabilities across all V-22 weapons system variants related to aircraft design, development, and management including: A' Participate or lead technical meetings related to aircraft design, ECP development, lifecycle cost analysis and estimation, decision analysis, physical configuration analysis. Participate in all long-term planning and strategic capability planning efforts which include Roadmaps and Technology Insertion strategies. Participate or manage Science and Technology functions and activities as aligned to satisfy V-22 operational requirements. Manage or participate Small Business Innovation Research and Rapid Innovation Fund system's engineering efforts in support of V-22 Capabilities. Requirements definition, analysis, and architecture design. Review and monitor development of all relevant systems engineering documentation. Review and update of interface and data architecture, validation and verification, systems integration, and system performance. Participate or conduct relevant Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events. Responsible for ensuring that the logical and systematic of conversion of product requirements into total system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware or software engineering specifications. Present necessary information to stakeholders within and without the NAVAIR program office environment. Support and guide lower level engineering efforts as needed. A' A' A' A' Qualifications Required Qualifications: Masters in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific discipline A Bachelors from an accredited college or university in the degree areas above may be substituted with an additional four (4) years of experience At least 5A' years of relevant experience in an engineering position, of which at least three (3) must be directly related to naval systems.
