Responsibilities
You will serve as an Assistant Chief in the Procurement Division performing such duties as:
- Collaborates with the Division Chief and Assistant Chiefs in planning and executing of an enterprise-wide procurement program in support of Secret Service operations
- Manages a centralized procurement operation enterprise-wide through subordinate supervisors
- Procures unique, time sensitive, high dollar value and mission critical products and services
- Provides authoritative interpretations, instructions and guidance relative to all phases of procurement management. Makes major decisions and/or provides authoritative advice/recommendations to senior officials of the Secret Service
- Initiates, plans, coordinates, conducts and/or reviews complex projects or studies that are related to or impact the procurement program
- Establishes and maintains liaison with a wide range of officials including top management and operating officials of the Secret Service, the Department of Homeland Security, other government agencies and private sector.

Obtain and maintain a Tier 5 Top Secret security clearance
- Pass a drug test (urinalysis)
- Certify you have registered with the Selective Service System if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, or certify you are exempt from having to do so under Selective Service law.
Qualifications
You must demonstrate at least one (1) year of the defined specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level and meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR).
Specialized experience is defined as:
- GS-15: performing duties such as: directing and managing a procurement operation through subordinate supervisors; planning, directing, and coordinating a procurement team providing the full range of contracting services for the acquisition of a wide range of services and supplies; and advising and making recommendations to high level management officials on procurement programs.
