Description SAIC has an opportunity for a Sr Principal Systems Engineer at INSCOM. The Sr Principal Systems Engineer will work within the Intelligence Community collaborating in technical design, deployment and infrastructure maintenance of systems crucial to national security. Note: This role offers temporary work from home/ remote/ virtual work at home due to COVID-19. Eventually the work will go back on site Ft Belvoir, VA. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Translates the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) G7 Modernization Branch's operational intelligence requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex solutions and integrating architecture.Enhances INSCOM G7 systems modernization strategies, to include analysis of transition planning, intelligence information requirements and may develop architecture baselines.Leads development of systems integration, migration plans/schedules. Acts as an advocate for the INSCOM G7 MOD as the ultimate authority on the system architecture components designed to address INSCOM operational mission requirements.Develops technical solutions for system modernization initiatives for a very large variety of complex INSCOM intelligence systems.Will work to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and technically challenging classified work. Supports material development and implementation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) using virtualization and cloud native technologies.Analyzes and resolves information assurance technical problems. Areas of focus include Cross Domain Solutions, Software Defined Networking, "Smart Cards" and emerging technologies and future trends. Supports the integration of IA Solutions and technologies into networks with particular attention to protocols, interfaces and system design.Conducts testing, record and analyze results and provided recommendations for improvements of the product/systems under test.Interacts with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware and software requirements and design. Participates in the development of test strategies.Troubleshoot engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area of hardware, software, network, and virtualization. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience10+ years of related experienceExperience working within the Intelligence Community (IC)TS/SCI required security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Poly.Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and virtualization to include Desktops as a Service (DaaS), in particular cloud native technologies.Experience in heterogeneous computer networking technology and familiarization with protocol and/or interface standards. Must have knowledge of TCP/IP (to include multicast), information security/authorization profiles or security administration of Linux and Windows network, systems. Must me experienced in assessing evolving user needs, translating those needs into network changes through network reconfiguration, hardware and software acquisition, installations and tests.
