Big Data Systems Engineer
Description SAIC seeks a Big Data Systems Engineer to manage all onsite technical performance. This work supports a government customer to develop, create and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs Duties will include but are not limited to: Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions using internally created and/or commercial off-the-shelf products. Provide end-to-end life cycle project management support Provide systems perspective Coordinate with team to ensure problem solution, risk reduction and user satisfaction Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning Must be familiar with geospatial data architecture to include: Spatial Data types Vector Raster Trajectories netCDF Spatial indexing Spatial predicated, operations and functions Working knowledge developing and administrating RDBMS - Mandatory; examples: Oracle geospatial Postgres/PostGIS SQL server Must be familiar with automating data processing workflows via tools like Apache NiFi Specify, develop, verify, and validate system availability requirements, operational availability, data access and data security Conduct readiness reviews and verify transition inputs Define operational processes and procedures, Operational Readiness Plan and data assessments Identify requirements; incorporate, integrate and tests requirements; provide status of requirements Provide project oversight, continual assessments and recommendations to address dependencies and risk management Normalize, categorize and trace requirements. Qualifications Required:Active TS/SCI cleared with CI polygraph 10 - 15 years of experience as a Systems Engineer Bachelor's degree in STEM related discipline or 6 -11 years of Systems Engineering experience with a Master's degree Minimum of 3 years within the Intelligence Community Agile software development expertise Excellent customer engagement skills Familiarity with ICD 503 Experience working at the enterprise level Desired:NoSQL/Big Data experience in technologies such as Elastic search or MongoDBHadoop/Accumulo Experience with geospatial big data stores like GeoMesa or GeoWaveGraph database experience such as Node4j Overview SAIC is a premier technology integrator solving our nation's modernization and readiness challenges.
