Description JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is hiring a Systems Engineer in Patuxent River, MD. General care and feeding of Integrated Mechanical Diagnostics System (IMDS), to include: Develop and pursue contracting action for new On-Board System (OBS) requirements. Review and manage all Flight Testing for OBS deliverables. Respond to Fleet, NATEC, and FMS customer issues. Track ongoing issues (see 4G accel) troubleshooting, review of information, and resolution of issue. Development of new proposals regarding maintenance of IMDS. Development of new/review of all procedures related to IMDS. Review and update of existing publications, as required. Work closely with FST Engineering on all of the above and other issues as they arise. Work with other Government entities for development of new product, such as: Provide training material source data to government and sub-contractor for development of Function Group 6.0 training materials. Collaborate with Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC) and sub-contractors to explore uses of artificial intelligence (AI) to recreate flight data and develop new methods of discovering flight anomalies. Work with Fleet Support Team (FST) and Carderock to develop, test, and implement new Flightscope algorithms for incorporation into daily Flightscope reporting. Meet biweekly with Army Utility Program Office for collaborative efforts regarding IMDS. Technical Subject Matter Expert for required technical / historical information and or documentation which FST/PMA requires. PMA Engineering COG / SME for all aspects of the IMDS: hardware/software/logistics/tech pubs/training. Technical/Engineering interface to IMDS OEM Raytheon. New IMDS Hardware/Software/Support Equipment support-On board or ground based. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and three (3) years or more experience Active DoD Secret clearance.
