Sr. Business Application System Administrator
We are seeking a Sr. Business Application System Administrator to provide high-level support and leadership in the technical areas described below, while working as part of a team in the Information and Technology Services Division (ITSD). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expertise with on-premise administration and support of the Deltek suite of products, including Costpoint, Planning, Cobra, Time and Expense and Extensibility Proven experience in on-premises IBM Cognos administration, installation, server configuration, BI solution design, and technical support of all components of the IBM Cognos Business intelligence suite of tools Experience in development and troubleshooting of Cognos reports and other business applications as well as knowledge of best practices for Cognos and Cobra Experience with Deltek Cloud services and migration from on-prem to cloud (AWS cloud services experience is a plus!) Experience and knowledge of database principles and structures, accounting and finance principles and SQL query skills desirable Strong analytical and problem solving abilities necessary for success Familiarity with the ITIL and project management practices Excellent documentation, project management, and communication skills Candidate should possess the following "soft" skills: Demonstrated evidence of excellent customer service Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking Proven ability to collaborate with staff having diverse viewpoints, objectives and styles Proven ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities Eager and quick to learn new things with enthusiasm and positive attitude Adept at balancing multiple priorities and multi-tasking Education/ Experience/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related IT degree IBM Cognos BI 8 or higher Certification Responsibilities include: Day-to-day support of our Cognos and Cobra environments Working with IT, vendors and staff to deliver business solutions through Cognos and Cobra Assisting in daily maintenance and problem resolution Scheduling and implementing patching and upgrades for Cognos and Cobra Provide project support for ongoing and new initiatives Fostering and supporting a collaborative team environment, sharing all knowledge and skills with other team members Occasional after-hours, weekends and on-call support About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
