Senior Java Developer Location: Chantilly, VA Duration: Permanent/full time position Responsibilities: As a lead Enterprise Java Developer, you will be responsible for building and testing Java EE applications for tier-1 cellular network operators You will be responsible for developing web services and back-end business logic, ensuring implementation of modern security practices and protocols, and all aspects of software testing Work closely with telecom engineers and network architects who will provide guidance on application requirements Responsible for writing and testing high quality code in Java EE Strong written and verbal communication skills are required since you will be interacting with the client during regular meetings Mentor other software developers on the latest technology and best practices Qualifications: Experience with Java EE, JSF (JavaServer Faces), CDI, PrimeFaces, EJB 3, HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery/AJAX Extensive knowledge and experience with REST API, XML, and JSON Strong knowledge and professional experience developing Enterprise Java applications using NetBeans IDE and Glassfish/Payara application server Expert coding capabilities with RESTful web services, Java Persistence API, JDBC, and Java SE Highly skilled in unit and integration testing Experience with GitHub, or similar Excellent technical communication skills Ability to be subject matter expert (SME) in all topics related to Java Enterprise application development and mentor to other staff Requirements: Bachelor s degree in CS, EE, or related 5-7 years experience in object-oriented software design and development for Java EE 2+ years in a senior leadership position
