We are looking to fill a critical role for an Integration Engineer in our Sterling, VA office. The position will serve as Integration Engineer and SME for a software product currently under development. The successful candidate will be able to interface with the development team to provide Enterprise IT support and insight and with end users to support product operation and troubleshooting. This is a short term position, up to 6 months, with possibility of extension.* Support the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of custom enterprise software and hardware solutions* Identify compatibility of functional interfaces and first article product integration, ensuring seamless interface between the design and production of systems* Design and integrate OEM or COTS based systems, including installation and transition plansRequired Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent, and five (5) years of information systems development experience including four (4) years' experience in the testing and implementation of large-scale computer experience may be substituted for educational requirements, and education may be substituted for years of experience. Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational requirements* Working knowledge of workstation and server architecture design in a Windows enterprise* Knowledge of Microsoft workstation and server operating systems (Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 10) and MS-office suite (Word, Power Point, and Excel)* Troubleshooting Symantec Endpoint Protection issues on a Windows (10) client* Troubleshooting Group Policy and network connectivity issues on a Windows (10) client* Working knowledge and experience with PKI systems* Excellent communication skills and good interpersonal skills, as well as good documentation skills* Must exhibit good judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adherence to professional standards and operational and security guidelines as defined by the Government and Peraton* Ability to lift 50 lbs. install and setup desktop computer systemsPreferred Qualifications:* Department of State experience* MCSE certification or equivalent related technical certifications* Knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare, Hyper-V and/or Citrix).* Knowledge of Windows Deployment Services (ie MDT, Windows PE)* Familiarity with the Software and Systems Development life Cycle (SDLC)* Familiarity with the Agile development process* Knowledge of remote deployment tools and VB and/or Powershell scripting* Experience with Storage Area Network (SAN)* Experience with Microsoft Active DirectoryWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
