This position is responsible for developing system specifications from the provided business requirements (including associated LOEs for development), as well as, tracking those requirements throughout the design, development, testing and implementation phases. The Application Systems Analyst must be able to apply professional knowledge to resolve complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of variable factors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge / quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative / motivation, cooperation / relationships, problem analysis / discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral / written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability / dependability, flexibility and ownership / accountability of actions taken.Develops interactive web applications using a dynamic scripting language like php, ruby, python and perl and develops/designs the application using wamp architecture.Designs authentication form to check whether the user is an authorized person to use the system.Interacts with clients to gather requirements. Analyzes requirements and develops functionality accordingly.Demonstrates experience in developing ui applications using html, html5, jquery, and Ajax, angularjs and javascript, PHP and other Web-Development applications.Involved in implementing the complete application in the in-build mvc architecture with angularjs.Implements php session variables and cookies and used zend-debugger for the error resolutions.Demonstrates familiarity and experience in all aspects of MySQL/PHP programming (object-oriented PHP) and Zend framework in lamp environment.Builds custom queries to meet the bulk queries submitted by the users.Implements bootstrap in developing UI and creates drupal modules for activity log and service reporting.Builds custom UI widgets and application logic using UI and mvc architecture.Develops the applications presentation layer using html5/xhtml, css3, javascript, jquery and uses bootstrap for designing web pages to get responsive designs.Tracks and fixes bugs that are found during various phases of development.Knows how to use css and bootstrap to develop rich UI components such as accordions and modal windows using pure html 5 and css3. Additionally, updates the source code according to the requirements, as needed.Conducts QA data quality reviews and analysis.Acts as IDW Business Intelligence developer for IHS.Creates monthly and ad-hoc reports for Procurement and Program Office users.Provides all monthly, quarterly and yearly acquisition reports. Participates in all user acceptance testing (UAT) for acquisition systems upgrades. Assists and provides resolutions to issues within IHS.Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEAssociate's degree (or equivalent) or one year certificate from college or technical school. Three (3) years' related experience or equivalent combination of education / experience. Minimum of three (3) years' end user and systems support experience. Experience in developing and debugging PHP, Agex and other Web development languages.
