Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Program Analyst, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Leads the formulation, justification, presentation, and execution of the Ecological Services Program resource budget. Keeps program managers informed of potentially controversial issues.
  • Guides team to develop, maintain and improve budget reporting tools used for performance monitoring, strategic planning, statistical analysis, quality assurance, quantitative assessment, exploratory data mining and tracking/reporting to enable senior leadership make critical decisions.
  • Monitors and develops guidance for Ecological Services' financial assistance program (competitive and non-competitive).
  • Oversees and advises Headquarters Ecological Services' recruitment and personnel processes.
  • Ensures proper supervision of subordinate staff and effective and efficient administration of services. Develops and insures adherence to professional standards by program personnel and requires that completed staff work is accurate and of high quality.

Minimum Qualification [GS-14]

One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to grade GS-13 in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience includes: supervising a team or branch; serving as a team lead; solving highly unique, controversial issues related to budget execution and fiscal responsibility; exercising direct responsibility for implementing policies, plans, standards or procedures to carry out contracting, acquisition, financial assistance, or personnel management for a large organization; managing a variety of issues and conflicts that affect a diverse group of customers; planning, directing, and executing both short and long term activities in budget formulation and execution.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically,
