The Project Manager is accountable for the success all scaled size projects and initiatives within the Credit Union. This includes planning, execution, and implementation of all projects to deliver intended business outcomes, ideally on time, on budget, and within scope according to business priorities. Throughout the life cycle of these projects, the Project Manager is responsible for making appropriate trade offs with project teams to mitigate any issues or risks.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Governance
  • Ensure project results have an articulated scope with quantifiable business benefit
  • Connect project messaging and reporting to strategic business initiatives
  • Represent the project at project governance and inter-department forums
  • Develop communication plans and interfaces to actively engage business
  • Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria

Project and Program Delivery
  • Assess, communicate and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered
  • Define and create project plans for projects, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation
  • Manage all aspects of the project life cycle, and work with team members to oversee all phases until project completion

Other duties include:
  • Protect the confidentiality and integrity financial sensitive information and maintain the technical mechanisms of legitimate access and release of the data to meet the requirements of the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA)
  • Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related Credit Union policies and procedures
  • Ability to understand how products and processes live in the Credit Union operation system and ancillary systems and how changes to those products and processes will affect each other. Innovative thinking is critical
  • Demonstrate the ability to build collaborative relationships across disciplines; coordinate work done by a team; resolve disputes; and provide leadership to a project team
  • Demonstrate the ability to receive and interpret information and formulate a course of corrective action to problem situations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years' Project Management experience with demonstrated outcome delivery across different types of high-risk, high-value projects
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Proficient with Project and Portfolio Management Tools (Workfront, Visio, MS Project etc.)
  • Knowledge and expertise in use of project management and SDLC methodologies and tools (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative)
  • Certifications
    • PMP or Six Sigma Black belt required
    • Agile or Scrum Master Certification preferred
