Summary

The incumbent will work in the Radiology & Imaging Sciences Department (RAD&IS), at the NIH Clinical Center (CC). You will assist in helping RAD&IS anticipate, assess, and respond effectively to the needs of diverse customers to the CC by making customer service the first priority.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing programmatic administrative support systems such as SOPs, records, communications, routing, forms, files and documentation.
  • Developing and disseminating programmatic administrative data metrics for the management of the office.
  • Managing the preparation of documents to execute administrative functions including personnel, travel, training, procurement, timekeeping, outside activity reporting, correspondence, visa processing, and staff credentialing.
  • Participating in special projects, as assigned, including drafting guidance and writing memoranda and letters for the signature of the Chief or other management.
  • Compiling and preparing information and documentation for the Department Chief including analyzing the material gathered and synthesizing data into reports or briefings
  • Advising the Supervisory Program Specialist on programmatic administrative issues and recommending resolution strategies and consulting.
  • Preparing reports, spreadsheets and narrative materials regarding travel, training, and office supply budget status.
  • Establishing, organizing, and maintaining extensive reference files designed to meet the special needs of RADIS for current information relative to active projects, program initiatives, and other pertinent information.
  • Managing and preparing responses to a wide variety of internal and external correspondence for the office. Drafting responses. As necessary, assembling background information, reports, and attachments by obtaining information from staff and files.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-09 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: assisting in the development and implementation of program practices and procedures; participating in administrative or management studies, such as analyzing data, developing formats to report the results of studies; providing support for program planning and analysis activities utilizing integrated reporting systems; and assisting with administrative functions to include personnel, timekeeping, procurement, training and travel;

OR


Completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.B. or J.D., if related;

OR

A combination of education and specialized experience that meets the qualification requirements for this position.
