Job Summary: SAVA is looking to hire a Systems Administrator to support critical commercial and government software products and server infrastructure deployed in a large operational environment for one of our valuable customers, a mission driven Federal Agency in Sterling. The position requires Enterprise-level technical skills, a focus on mission enhancing services, strong written and verbal communication, ability to work in matrixed teams, and must be able to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot, identify, and resolve technical issues. Responsibilities: Focus on integration and optimization of multiple IT enterprise management tools, while also acting as a senior member of the IT Operations team providing daily operational monitoring, maintenance, and customer support for a complex global IT enterprise. Administer and/or oversee systems for multiple projects, mission services and environments. Install, integrate, configure, test and maintain commercial and government software products on server and client side, including: Testing, upgrading and supporting a suite of applications with new releases, patches, and feature improvements; coordinating user training as necessary; resolving problems experienced by the product user community; developing, maintaining and updating, as applicable, relevant client documentation; identifying product defects or issues that must be resolved to ensure that the product fully meets the changing needs of the client user community; working with product vendors, and support users by resolving incidents and completing standard service requests. Analyze system faults, review diagnostic tests and troubleshoot Windows Operating Systems and enterprise applications to identify problems and find resolutions to issues and outages. Ensure security controls are properly implemented and maintained. Participate in integrated project teams and provide feedback and/or recommendations for Enterprise IT projects. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must have an active DOD secret clearance. Must have 7 years of experience supporting Windows Server 2008/2012 administration. Must have experience with COTS implementation and maintenance. Understanding of IIS setup and configuration. Understanding of Server Features and Roles setup and configuration. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have experience leading small teams in IT project planning and execution. Perform the maintenance, troubleshooting, release management and end-user support of various commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government developed applications. Experience with web infrastructure is preferred Desired Skills: DEA suitability is highly desirable.
