We are looking for a Librarian/Taxonomist to join our team. You will be working with our taxonomist and Dev team to add in key word searches to our digital library. If they arent the right key words we explain to the business how that might impact a page or search. Top Skills: 1) Background in Library Sciences, Indexer, Taxonomist 2). Experience with Taxonomy what is taxonomy, how to create it, management with taxonomy? Can you Index content? Content Analysis? - Writing business rules and classifications. Develop metadata schemas to standardize the business semantics of the company. Significant expertise in developing, managing and mapping metadata for business semantics. Experience in developing and/or implementing content strategies, business process and systems analysis. Experience in the areas of content modeling and content analysis for both structured and unstructured information. Understanding of emerging information services/technology trends;Software as a service, universal clients, web services SOA,web 2.0/3.0,semantic analysis tools such as Smarlogic, Mindmap,thesaurus software packages).Knowledge of Unified Management Language (UML). Knowledge of a second language besides excellent command of English is desirable. Creative problem solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multi-project environment and ability to respond immediately to often changing business priorities. * Responsible for the indexing of economic and financial documents produced by and for the IMF. Including working papers, country reports, journal articles, and news articles. * Serve on the Enterprise Business Vocabulary (EBV) design team and participate in IMF Thesaurus maintenance, researching new subject terms based on current developments within the Fund.
