Senior Creative Project Manager Job Summary:

A renowned company in McLean, VA has partnered with Sparks Group to find them a Senior Creative Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity. This is position serves as a connection point between the Creative Studio team and its internal clients. Covering the intake and proper scoping of project requests. This role helps prioritize and assign projects, sets milestone and deadlines for each phase of a project, and ensures job requests are in order before work begins. This individual is also responsible for implementing and managing the internal chargeback/budgeting to ensure that the work is appropriately tracked and recorded.

Senior Creative Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage the queue of projects that are assigned to the Creative Studio team. Schedule and track the status and progress of each creative project until completion. Projects include, but are not limited to: graphics, editing, formatting, print and presentation design, print production, video, motion graphics, and photography.
  • Manage the project scoping and intake process and act as liaison between creative team designers, editors, media specialists, production artists and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the creative team and its stakeholders agree on all requirements, specs, and deliverables.
  • Develop project estimates in conjunction with the Operations and Creative teams.
  • Manage vendor estimates and coordinate with external vendors.
  • Determine appropriate resources for each project in conjunction with the creative team. Schedule and ensure resources are in place before work begins.
  • Oversee and maintain individual team schedules/workloads for availability of new work.
  • Communicate project milestones and status to Creative Studio team and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular and accurate design and financial updates.
  • Assist with setting due dates for various stages of job completion after consulting with creative team for timing requirements.
  • Support creative team by keeping jobs on schedule; reschedule due dates when necessary create, implement and maintain the chargeback system.
  • Use internal database to review and process monthly chargebacks.
  • Use accounting system for financial adjustments as required Lead weekly pipeline meetings with creative team managers.
  • Update on progress of active projects, prepare for upcoming projects.
  • Gather, analyze, and relay relevant data in weekly meeting with creative managers.
  • Provide solutions for efficiency and improvement on an ongoing basis.

Senior Creative Project Manager Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing operations, creative services, or project management role for a large-sized marketing creative team.
  • Highly organized, process focused, desire for continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Data-minded individual.
  • Strong customer relationship skills, professional communication skills across all levels of the organization, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clearable.
  • Experience in project management software (FileMaker a plus).
  • Experience working within an internal agency is a plus.
  • PMP certification a plus.
