Responsibilities

This position is located in the Office Automation Staff (OAS), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), in Washington, D.C. The OCIO is responsible for all United States Attorneys' information technology (IT) operations throughout the 94 United States Attorney Offices (USAOs). Duties include:

-Serve as a senior specialist for Unified Communications and is responsible for engineering and subject matter expertise in support of the EOUSA/USAOs' nationwide unified communications (UC), video teleconferencing (VTC) and enterprise mobility deployments.
-Serve as technical consultant in all unified communications program and project initiatives, providing guidance and technical expertise to colleagues, staff of other organizations, contractors, supervisors and senior management within the OCIO.
-Oversee the day-to-day operations of the enterprise unified communications infrastructure with a focus on assuring stability, capacity, and organizational productivity. The network is a converged Internet Protocol (IP) network carrying data, voice, and video.
-Troubleshoot the UC solutions in the USAO enterprise environment including the following systems: Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Expressways, Cisco Polycom RealPresence Collaboration Server (RMX) Bridge, Polycom Distributed Media Application (DMA), Polycom Resource Manager, Cisco Telepresence Management Suite, Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Microsoft Skype and Microsoft Teams.
-Manage the Polycom video teleconferencing environment consisting of Group Series endpoints, Treo smartphones, Eagle Eye Directors, Skype for business, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) integration.
-Manage information technology projects related to unified communications of OAS programs to develop, manage, and oversee execution of project schedules to provide a unique service or product.
-Serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and performs corresponding duties in compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Departmental and EOUSA procurement guidance and policy.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Qualifications

GS-13: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in federal service providing technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management on critical unified communications (UC) IT issues; maintaining and optimizing UC solutions in an enterprise communications environments and MS Teams, Skype, Cisco and Polycom platforms; utilizing AirWatch mobile device management (MDM) to support and manage mobile computing devices; engineering and deploying mobile security policies, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Active Directory/Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and general integration services.

GS-14: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in federal service providing expertise in planning, building, configuring, testing, implementing, operating and maintaining unified communications solutions; maintaining and optimizing UC solutions in an enterprise communications environments and MS Teams, Skype, Cisco and Polycom platforms; utilizing AirWatch mobile device management (MDM) to support and manage mobile computing devices; engineering and deploying mobile security policies, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Active Directory/Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and general integration services; and providing expertise in UC project management as well as information technology (IT) acquisition/procurement requirements.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
