Responsibilities Manage all accounting operations including: A/P, GL and, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue RecognitionManage day-to-day banking relationships and monthly reconcile various corporate bank accountsCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesPrepare and publish timely monthly financial statementsCoordinate the preparation of regulatory reportingResearch technical accounting issues for complianceSupport month-end and year-end close processEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsSet-up banking and finance systems for new stores and provide stores with support for credit and financing related issuesProven working experience as a controller5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceBachelor's degree in accountingCPA or CMA preferredThorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience with creating financial statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close processExcellent spreadsheet, and administration skills
