What youll be doing This internship position which is part of the Verizon Campus Program will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. Youll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Global Technology Solutions Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program. As a Global Network and Technology Cybersecurity Intern, you may have the opportunity to Assist with using big data, analyzing existing and future network systems across Verizon, and reviewing security architectures. Develop engineering solutions that integrate information security requirements to proactively protect information. Perform audit and security compliance checks, including network penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and other configuration analysis. Develop threat models and security risk assessments, and recommend mitigations and countermeasures to address risks, vulnerabilities, and threats. Support our GTS Network Unified Communications (NUC) transition to AI-Ops. Work with the project team to leverage AI-Ops tooling, custom applications, open-source technologies, and new processes and procedures to assist in the integration of Verizons large scale internal network landscape. Establish a process to validate the legitimacy of the claims of key APPSEC tools - DASTIAST. Partner with the solution support team to outline the machinations of how testing works, opportunities to automate finding, discovering and visualization within the testing ecosystem. Participate in the automation using MLAI to drive remediation and deliver results on testing to include a working prototype and results. You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and in good academic standing to be considered. Willingness to work in Ashburn, VA Even better if you have Strong analytical skills, communication, leadership, and presentation skills. Familiarity with Network Information Security knowledge and Project Management Skills. Experience with end to end architecture, IT operations, software engineering, AIML concepts. Java, Python, ANISIBL. Application Security experience in regards to threat hunting, pen testing or vulnerability identification..
