Responsibilities Provide software development and maintenance support for projects working with the Business Unit and the Operations Support department Requirements gathering, elicitation by interacting with business Responsible for implementing IT/Business projects Supports all phases of Development leading to implementation Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project and multiple projects. Create or contribute to technical project documentation Excellent communication skills Experience Requirements 5+ years software development experience: Java Technologies: Front end UI development experience on Ajax, JSPs, HTML, CSS , JavaScript Proficiency in Java 8 or later, scripting, J2EE, Webservices Prefer knowledge in insurance domain Bachelor's degree required Extensive use of a Java script toolkit (Dojo a plus) Experience with a web framework (Spring, Spring MVC a plus , Java Application server's (WebLogic/WebSphere/Tomcat framework), Struts Experience with Shell scripting (preferred) Big Data related: Experience in Hive HQL Experience in oozie scheduling.
