Job Description The Software Architect is responsible for designing the system and providing hands-on technical leadership to help ensure successful results. The Software Architect will work closely with product managers and software engineering teams (local and remote). Candidates must have experience architecting AWS based solutions, as well as building and optimising data pipelines for enterprise-class applications. Role & Responsibilities Spearhead technical assignments individually and serve act as technical leader of our engineering teams to produce enterprise-class software products Own the vision, architecture and design of software products and drive projects to completion with the overall project team Stay current with and evaluate cutting edge technology Innovate technologies and approaches to be used as standards by the organisation Provide technical guidance and review for project teams developing and deploying product Engage with customers as a technical liaison Skills & Qualifications Top 3 skills and years of experience required: 1 - Data perspective: understand EMR, querying PSQL (Postgres & Redshift) Table design in regard to Redshift 2 - Understands the data pipeline; cloud computing with AWS (they do a lot with containerized deployment (use Kubernetes) this one with be EKS; how these environments operate? How do containers work from architecture perspective? 3 - Development skills; primary lang.
