Dewberry is seeking a Coastal Resilience Engineering Intern in our Fairfax, VA office. The internship is aimed at training exceptional students to become leaders in in the field of pre- and post-disaster flood resilience. This individual will engage in an applied research project in the field, and focus on areas such as risk recognition, policy and/or engineering solutions and design parameters, and stakeholder communication to address short- and long-term resilience needs.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Pursuing a BS or MS degree with an emphasis in Water Resources, Environmental, Coastal, Ocean, or Marine Engineering or Science.
  • Understanding of coastal engineering or science technologies, analyses, models.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, or Microstation is preferred.
  • Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment is a must
