Responsibilities

As a Management and Program Analyst in the Space and Asset Management Division (SAMD), Office of Facilities Management Services, you will:
  • Advise the SAMD Director, and the Director of the Office of Facilities Management Services, on the effectiveness of all SAMD programs, particularly programs towards the fulfillment of HUD's space management objectives.
  • Gather and organize narrative and statistical information using established methods such as review of databases, comparisons of past and present, and related program functions.
  • Provide upper management and decision makers with reports, evaluated information, briefings, and similar products necessary for effective SAMD operations.
  • Perform special assignments involving conducting studies and implementing strategies related to the organization's budget activities.
  • Assist in the review of newly enacted legislation for regulatory requirements; provide guidance on interpretation and implementation of new and revised legislation, policies, regulations, and procedures.

The official duty station for this position will be in Washington, DC. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

• Experience planning, organizing, and negotiating with management to accept and implement recommendations; AND
• Analyzing and advising management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of programs and operations.

Time-in-Grade:
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment:
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
