Summary

This position is located in the Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information, Criminal Intelligence Division, National Geospatial Intelligence Branch (NGIB), located in Washington, DC. The mission of (NGIB) is to equip ATF with a state-of-the-art geospatial environment that will enhance intelligence-driven policing by collecting, processing, and disseminating geospatial data, and training and supporting analysts on geospatial tradecraft, methodologies, and production.

Responsibilities

  • Exercises full range supervisory responsibilities and authority over non-supervisory intelligence personnel.
  • Serves as an authority on geospatial intelligence issues, providing expert advice to Bureau management and high-ranking officials regarding intelligence issues and statistical matters within program areas.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and recommends improvements to the intelligence analysis process.
  • Plans and oversees intelligence projects, predictive analysis projects and initiatives that concern programs and associates activities in other Federal, State, local and international law enforcement and regulatory agencies and organizations.
  • Represent the Bureau in interagency meetings, conferences and committees on APB issues and program initiatives.
  • Develops overall program and/or project objectives, goals, resource requirements, and milestones for all intelligence aspects of the branches programs.
  • Provides strategic assistance to Bureau managers and supervisors on major national and international investigations.
  • Advises management on significant issues pertaining to program and products, such as new initiatives. Represent the Bureau in interagency meetings, conferences and committees on geospatial issues and program initiatives.

MOBILITY PLAN : New employees hired pursuant to this vacancy announcement must sign a mobility agreement. Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-14 candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include:

Experience independently providing expertise on intelligence related issues in order to plan, analyze, identify problems and initiate solutions.

Experience performing supervisory duties to facilitate guidance and foster performance.
