Job Description Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Job Description: Parsons is seeking a Software Engineer to support on-going systems development, testing, and fielding efforts at one of the Army's premier R&D Centers of Excellence at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. This position includes opportunities to influence and support Army next generation Electronic Warfare (EW), SIGINT, and C5ISR systems and technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational requirements into software requirements, designs, and implementation. Participate in planning, coordinating, scheduling, directing, and controlling engineering and technical support activities applicable to software development and integration of software tools/capabilities. Participate in the development and execution of software and system test strategies. Review and assess developmental contractor software code to ensure compliance with government-provided coding and cybersecurity standards. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field * 5 years' in the design, development, and implementation of software systems * Experience in programming with HTML, Java, JavaScript * Experience in the design, develop, and test of software algorithms, applications and components * Experience with developing and implementing custom software algorithms and applications in combination with COTS and GOTS software applications * Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces * Experience with Powershell Installation scripting * Experience with coding interface messaging software components * Excellent communications, problem-solving and coordination skills * This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract. Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
