Do you have a passion to make break throughs on hard and complex government problems that make an impact?We are looking for an entry level engineer with foundational engineering skills and the ability to learn rapidly and grow his/her agile skillset in support of civilian and defense government agencies. Must be a highly-motivated, adaptive, and self-directed early-career candidate with a wide variety of interests. We utilize the principles and philosophy of Agile Systems Design and Engineering to maximize mission and business value. You will use your skills and abilities to address complex issues of critical national and global significance. This role will help government sponsors adopt and/or tailor any contingent of Agile methodologies, while leveraging systems engineering practices.The Agile Systems Engineer will provide problem solving for government customers in collaboration with stakeholders from private, federal, state and local sectors. Specific responsibilities will include: Provide assistance to federal agencies in agile approaches including Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, Lean, LESS, or other suitable agile approaches. Support projects, programs, federal departments and agencies in transitioning to agile and incremental delivery cycles, utilizing digital engineering practices, recommending appropriate team structures, processes, methods, metrics and reporting structures. Assist government leaders in defining the context, problem space and vision to determine capabilities, priorities, road maps, transformation plans and next steps. Assist in the development of agile processes, plans and architectures at the department and agency business level, identifying their core competencies, defining measures, and identifying capabilities.Required: Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining US government clearance. Bachelors Degree in a technical major (eg, computer science, systems engineering, information systems, etc.) or equivalent engineering degree. Familiarity with any Agile/Lean development methodology (eg Scrum, Test Driven Development, DevOps, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Lean Startup, Iterative, etc.). Examples of application or awareness are encouraged to be brought/made available at an interview. Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills Ability to define, develop, and deliver high quality work products.
