Office Manager, Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning

The Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning at George Mason University is currently seeking a part-time Office Manager. This position reports to the team's Operations Manager and serves a team of approximately 12 administrative faculty and classified staff. The Stearns Center is very active with multiple teams, projects and events that serve faculty across the university. Responsibilities: * General office management, including office supplies, space management, key control and equipment inventory, telecom and facilities work orders, and part-time staff supervision; * Fiscal management, including budget systems (eVA and pCard purchasing according to university guidelines), budget reconciliation, and travel authorizations and reimbursements; * HR liaison, including support for candidate searches and staff on-boarding; * Providing high-quality general administrative support to the Stearns Center; * Working in collaboration with other administrative staff in Digital Learning and Teaching Excellence; * Cross-train responsibilities to ensure effective office continuity at all times.

Required Qualifications: * Ability to work as part of a team, but also act independently; * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment; * Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Word; * Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Mason's office systems including Banner and MicroStrategy.
