We are seeking a professional and upbeat Childcare Center Director to oversee the talent, brand and operations of your Learning Center and uphold our mission, vision and values. As a Childcare Center Director with Celebree, you will coach, develop and motivate the Assistant Director and educational staff and actively develop and maintain positive customer and community relations. You will maintain high capacity utilization, manage all resources effectively and within budget and ensure that your center is compliant with all federal and state laws, MSDE-OCC regulations and Celebree standards. You will anticipate employment needs, identify and hire excellent staff and supervise, coach, develop and motivate the Assistant Director and center staff. You will also ensure that your center provides exceptional customer service experiences through friendly and thorough tours, a welcoming environment and easy accessibility for parent meetings and phone calls. Childcare Center Director-Childcare/Education Facility Director Job Responsibilities As a Childcare Center Director with Celebree, you will create effective staff schedules and alternate with the Assistant Director to open the center by 6:30 am and close at 6:30 pm. You will ensure that curriculums are followed appropriately and that new programs, policies and procedures are adapted successfully. You will consistently ensure that the center is clean, organized and meets visual execution standards and recommend repairs as needed. You will greet family members by name, exude a professional and positive image, promote teamwork and enthusiasm and foster a staff-wide commitment to our mission to protect, educate and nurture. It is vital that you network within your community to recruit new families, follow up with prospects and manage the new child enrollment process. You will also support staff orientation and continuous development, plan and facilitate monthly meetings and training sessions and consistently implement Celebree performance management tools and processes. Additional responsibilities of the Childcare Center Director include: Supporting and leading new company initiatives Maintaining accurate and complete employee and child files and records Providing staff with regular and specific feedback through classroom observations, one-on-one meetings and performance reviews Planning and supervising field trips and programs Completing all paperwork and record keeping on a timely basis Managing billing and accounting for the center Ensuring that your center financials are up-to-date, accurate and organized Demonstrating accountability and initiative in identifying opportunities and goals for the center Achieving enrollment goals and remaining within budgetary targets Collaborating with realtors and real estate companies to market Celebree as an education and childcare provider of choice to new families in your community Ensuring that our corporate office is quickly made aware of any incidents or accidents in your center Handling vendor relationships and contracts Sending monthly email blasts to keep families informed about center activities and initiatives Ensuring that staff presents a professional image and adheres to our dress code Transporting children in the Celebree van as needed Seeking out professional development opportunities and remaining current on new practices in the childcare and education industry Childcare Center Director-Childcare/Education Facility Director Job Requirements:As a Childcare Center Director with Celebree, you must have exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, especially with parents, as well as patience, flexibility and effective leadership and staff management skills. Building positive rapport with current & potential families and establishing a strong sense of "team" with the center staff is integral to the on-going success of the center, from both a business and community perspective. The best type of leader for this position will be a strong coach who can effectively mentor & model desired behaviors while maintaining a strong culture of accountability with the entire team. Our ideal Childcare Center Director is a highly organized problem-solver who is detail-oriented when it comes to budgets, naturally strikes a balance between business and education and knows when to highlight the humor in a situation and when to be serious. You must be able to constantly renegotiate priorities to meet the needs of the moment you are in, outline professional boundaries for your educational staff and project the attitude that you want them to display. When it comes to kids, accidents happen and unexpected issues are bound to arise, so you must be able to have difficult conversations with parents and staff as well as remain calm and unruffled in hectic or tense situations. Great time management skills are vital to this role as is the vision to see the big picture without losing sight of the details. You must also be able to follow detailed safety requirements and regulations, always maintain confidentiality and remain conscious of the business bottom line without seeing children as numbers. Additional requirements for the Childcare Center Director include: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related discipline required. 90 hours in Preschool Child Development and Curriculum Planning 40-45 hours administrative training with 9 hours of training on communicating with staff, parents and the general public 3 hours of childcare regulation training provided by OCC 45 hours of Infant and Toddler Training 45 hours of training each on Child Development, birth through school age, and Curriculum for School Age Care Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a licensed childcare center required; service-oriented work experience a plus Minimum 2 years management experience required; childcare center management preferred but we will consider staff management experience in a different field Comprehensive working knowledge of child behavioral and developmental stages Comprehensive working knowledge of MSDE-OCC licensing requirements and other regulations as well as understanding of why these structures exist Financial and budgeting proficiency and ability to interpret aP & L report Excellent leadership, training, coaching and team-building abilities Valid CPR and First Aid certifications Basic computer literacy required; proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or ProCare a plus Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Excellent work attendance Talent for leading and elevating a team via coaching, mentoring and clear,consistent communication Childcare Center Director-Childcare/Education Facility Director Benefits At Celebree, we understand that our staff works hard and we appreciate their skills and commitment to excellence.
