Job Description:L3Harris has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, high energy, team player with excellent development and communication skills to design, implement and maintain a C++ software project in Chantilly, Virginia. The engineer will participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks, including, but not limited to, software requirements analysis and refinement, design, implementation, documentation, and testing. He or she will work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and will have regular contact with customers. Essential Functions: Lead task order development efforts Provide technical status to Government and SETA Provide task breakdown and estimation for current and proposed work Become a subject matter expert on Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) and Tactical Data Links Qualifications: Active TS/SCI security clearance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field and 9 years of prior relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree in in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 7 years of prior related experience. 6 years of C++ software development experience. Experience developing on Microsoft Windows and Linux. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience with GCC compiler or equivalent systems. Agile development experience (Scrum). Preferred Additional Skills: Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance. Experience with C++ version 11 (or newer) highly desired. Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) experience. Experience with cmake highly desired. Experience with Tactical Data Links desired, including Link-16, SADL. Experience with integration with multiple team and external organizations is a plus. Jira, Confluence, Subversion, and BitBucket experience.
