The Senior Integrations Engineer is a key position responsible for designing and implementing an integrations framework that facilitates communication between information systems and make up the health system's backbone of operations. This position is responsible for building both custom and standard integration solutions, using new and existing technologies in accordance with assigned projects and overall organizational strategies.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain interfaces that are point-to-point, transactional, aggregate/batch integrations with the appropriate healthcare protocols but specifically; HL7, CCD, C-CDA, IHE profiles and any API technologies/protocols
• Troubleshoot operational integration issues on applications and can navigate comfortably in middleware platforms such as Cloverleaf or Mirth, to include working collaboratively with vendors to establish interconnectivity and troubleshoot issues
• Sets up, maintains and troubleshoots SFTP platforms such as Go Anywhere or Box and where necessary, work with external groups on data exchange strategies for appropriate health information data exchanges between systems
• Perform as an expert in interoperability standards and how/when standards should be used and makes recommendations to leadership on interoperability roadmap strategies
• Configure interface monitoring alerts and monitors alarms, responding when there are problems with communication between mission critical applications and Perform daily system maintenance tasks on middleware systems and other data exchange platforms
• Validate and document interface and technical system design decisions, tracking changes as appropriate and develop and participate in testing plans for all integrations between systems
• Collaborate fully in staff and team management workgroups to lead in IT strategies for the integrations of systems and present at management meetings regarding HIE proposed solutions and communicate with stakeholders on strategy and options
• Follows ITIL principles to align IT Services with needs of business and Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation

Required Competencies:
• Knowledge of interface and interoperability standards and a solid understanding of HIPAA
• Understanding of Cerner Millennium, ECW and other EMR technologies, applications and integration capabilities including Workday
• Fast response to multiple, competing priorities while providing excellent service
• Effective and proactive communication, self-driven and independent with attention to detail
• Ability to work well in team-based management approach with excellent interpersonal skills while also being highly organized, a critical thinker, and detail-orientated with a fantastic attitude
• Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions and execute in high stress situations
• Ability to articulate ideas to both a technical and a non-technical audience
•Seeks opportunities for learning and improvement

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 5-10 years of experience with protocols such as HL7, CCD, CCD-A, FHIR and message types such as ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT
•5-10 years of experience with middleware platforms such as Cloverleaf or Mirth
• Experience with Work Day is a plus
