Summary

About the Position: This position is located at PEO CBRND - JPL IM/IT, Aberdeen Proving Ground (Edgewood Area, MD 21010 with JPL-CBRN IM/IT. JPL-CBRN IM/IT is responsible for the advanced development, delivery, and continuous engineering of CBRN information management / information technology capabilities for the warfighter position.

The pay band NH-04 incudes the General Schedule Grade equivalent to GS-14/15.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multi-million dollar annual budget.
  • Applies project management methodology related to program execution; identifies project related problems to facilitate resolution efforts.
  • Develops work standards for the accomplishment of team or organizational objectives; promotes and facilitates team commitment and cooperation to motivate team members and accomplish group goals.
  • Considers new approaches to various near term and long-range projects and present to leadership for approval; provides direction and guidance for the development, acquisition, testing, product improvement, fielding, and sustainment of the project.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Acquisition Corps membership is required prior to appointment to a CAP unless a waiver is granted.
  • Selectees must sign an Acquisition Corps written tenure agreement to remain in the Federal Service in this position for at least 3 years.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology workforce position.
  • All candidates must meet position requirements for certification at Level III in acquisition Career Field Program Management within 24 months of occupying the position.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing direction towards the development, acquisition, testing, product improvement and sustainment of an Acquisition system or program; experience evaluating cost, schedule and performance; experience implementing policies on administration and personnel management, training and utilization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13).

This is an Army Acquisition Workforce position covered by DAWIA (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act). Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level III in Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 24 months of entrance on duty.
