Aerotek's client is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for proper and timely servicing and repair of equipment to meet production goals. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedule and assist in troubleshooting on equipment requiring repair. Utilize trade skills to perform specialized labor and operate equipment for fabrication projects. Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude is required. Mechanical/electrical trade experience/training a plus. Will train the right candidate. Perfect candidate 3-6 years experience Able to work at heights and in enclosed spaced. Able to climb ladder and lift 50 lbs on an occasional basis Able to utilize hand and power tools Able to operate shop equipment and construction tools of trade. Will train the right candidate Able to read and follow procedures Able to work outdoors and indoors in a dusty environment and with high noise levels Able to work as a member of a team and independently Responsibilities: Responsible for electrical or mechanical portion of equipment, (Salt machines, 3 phase motors, relays, low voltage, hydraulics and conveyors). depending on expertise, and complete tasks where both trades may merge Follow procedures to maintain, test and repair production equipment Able to work as part of a team with Maintenance and Production personnel to achieve goals. Work with mechanics in the department to complete all projects and preventive maintenance work Follow all safety and company procedures Responsible for housekeeping of shop and work areas Participate in problem solving/troubleshooting. Offer constructive ideas and knowledge from experience/training Able to effectively communicate during on-going work, troubleshooting and job completion Perform skilled and manual labor, operate equipment for construction and fabrication projects Accountable for equipment and reporting equipment deficiencies Utilize basic math and writing skills to accurately complete Maintenance records Work assigned shift.
