OverviewTessco is currently looking for a mid-Level SAP Basis Administrator. Reporting into the Director of Enterprise Systems, this role will be responsible for the Administration of our entire SAP Landscape - S/4 HANA, Data Services, Business Objects Enterprise, Vistex, Vertex, Solution Manager - along with our Hosting and Managed Services Provider. While the Managed Services provider performs certain tasks for Tessco, this Administrator role will have ownership and responsibility of their activities as well as be the main conduit between Tessco and our Services Provider.Responsibilities* Provides the technical oversight and leadership necessary to accomplish work.* Performs SAP system administration providing insight needed to optimize and maintain the overall SAP and 3rd Party Bolt-On reliability, availability and performance* Ensures secure operations of the SAP landscape by our Hosting and Managed Services Provider - maintain awareness of security related industry trends, risks and standards, identify and implement improved security features, and apply security patches* Responsible for planning/coordination/communication of new SAP Systems, SAP upgrades and SAP release changes, as well as the import of SAP support packages, SAP system copies and the relocation of SAP system landscapes.* Day-to-day monitoring, support and administration of SAP applications and the various 3rd party bolt-on applications.* Develops documentation and dataflows for systems and processes.* Ensures root-cause analysis is completed by Hosting and Managed Service Provider and learnings are integrated into new or revised SOPs. Maintain additional software that is related to SAP landscapes* Trend analyses on resource utilization, to ensure the systems have what they need to support the workloads.* Trains Tier 1 Support users to provide basic end user and front-end tool support, installations, and management of software deployed throughout organization.* Handles Tier 2 / 3 Support incidents and requests.* Interfaces with Business Process Owners and Functional Leads to facilitate process improvement and apply SAP supplied corrections.* Maintain a flexible work schedule to facilitate interaction with onsite technical and functional team members* Participate in on-call rotation, monthly releases and work after business-hours as needed* Support and Administration of SAP Solution Manager 7.2Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or in a related technical discipline (eg, Engineering or Science) or equivalent education, technical training and experience.* 7+ years of experience working with Information Technology* 5+ years SAP Basis experience; S/4 experience required* Experience managing and holding 3rd Parties accountable for Deliverables and Service Level Agreements is required* Hands-On experience with AWS preferred* Experience configuring and maintaining Solution Manager 7.2 is preferred* Ability to Manage, Lead, and / or Contribute to projects is required* Excellent Communication Skills* Must be able manage multiple work items (planned and unplanned) with competing priorities while safeguarding own deliverables* Knowledge of Vistex, Vertex, Data Services, Business Objects, and Stand-Alone HANA Database is preferred.* Hands-On Experience with System / Client Copies, Database Restores, Transport Management, Security, and other basic Basis tasks is required.* Ability to learn multiple technologies and understand complex environments.* Ability to understand, manage, and deliver project-based Basis work within the parameters of the Hosting and Managed Services Agreement - including hands-on deliverables.Tessco is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
