Kastle's integrated security solution, including access control, video, and remote video monitoring, significantly reduces costs and improves the critically important 24x7 performance for building owners, developers and tenants.The Installation Technician is responsible to install, assist and/or supervise in all phases of installing, testing and troubleshooting security, access control and video systems at customer sites. To that end, the Installation Technician may interact directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation. The Installation Technician ensures that Kastle system installation and change orders are implemented accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations.Responsibilities* Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems accurately and on time following Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.* Identify any issues regarding timeline or progress and communicate to supervisor.* Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology and internal processes/procedures.Qualifications* 3 or more years' experience installing:* commercial access control, video systems, low voltage and commerical wiring OR* Professional construction experience installing:* door hardware, electric and mechanical locking devices and building codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems.* High School diploma/GED preferred* Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable* Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital volt meters.* Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocol and Cat5 technologies preferredOther Eligibility Requirements* Must be willing to participate in and pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record check.* Must hold valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.* Must be able to obtain and maintain a 35E Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services electronic security license including FBI fingerprinting.Physical & Mental Requirements* Lift and carry up to 75 pounds* Climb Stairs and ladders while carrying weight* Use color vision to distinguish colored wires, signals, other lighting devices,* Use and manipulate hand tools, small power tools, communication and diagnostic devicesWork Environment* Open floor plans with ambient noise and activity consistent with office or call center work* Active constructive sites often without HVAC* Confined spaces (closets, basements, etc.)* The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, tools and vehiclesEqual Opportunity StatementAt Kastle, we believe that diversity makes us stronger - at work and in the world.
