Exposure may include IT Services, Business Intelligence, Project Management, or Network Infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to apply the analytical and business knowledge you've acquired in the classroom to a real-world setting, by working on a results-oriented project based on current business demand. You will be empowered to express innovative ideas and provide new perspectives and insights on our processes and way of working, by presenting alternate solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross functional team members, engage with senior leaders, and participate with fellow interns in development and social engagement activities.Core Responsibilities* Works under the direction of a department leader on assigned project(s). Attends meetings, completes research and other assigned duties as a contributing member of the functional team.* Leverages knowledge and expertise to ask questions, conduct research, collect and analyze data, formulate ideas and develop recommendations to the department manager.* Collaborates with other areas and functional teams to complete work assignments (Human Resources, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, etc.).* Assists in researching and analyzing business problems (conducting benchmark competitor/industry product research, market analysis, data collection, etc.).* Organizes and successfully completes assigned projects independently and/or in collaboration with others.* Accompanies department management to various functions and meetings to observe and learn.* Works closely with department leader to document and complete assigned project(s). Presents discoveries, recommendations, and any implementations in a final presentation to department leader and senior leadership teams.Qualifying Experience* Rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a full time undergraduate program* Must be enrolled an accredited undergraduate program with a major/concentration in related field (Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Security, Cyber Security, Data Architecture, etc.)* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookIf you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.Owens & Minor is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
