POSITION SUMMARY:The Personal Trainer's (PT) goal is to provide world-class personal training service and programs. Personal Trainers are a vital connection to our members ensuring our brand promise of "Helping Members Feel Comfortable" and our core purpose of "Changing People's Lives". Personal Trainers understands their role in retaining members, anticipating the member's needs and exceeding their expectations to help create raving fans.KEY RELATIONSHIPS:Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with:* General Manager and Personal Training Team Leader* Fitness Manager* Personal Training Director* All club team members* Brick Bodies MembersKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED OUTCOMES:* Progressive goal setting for every client* Exercise program design* Completing the required number of training sessions per week to achieve monthly revenue targets* Monthly fitness assessments* Knowledge & education of new fitness trends/training techniques* Brick Bodies/Lynne Bricks Product Knowledge (programs,events, etc.* Because of the fluctuating demands of our Clubs' operations, it may be necessary that each associate performs a multitude of different functions. Therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other associates are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed that are not included in the above accountability list.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:Exercise Prescription/Programming* Developing and providing personal fitness evaluations, individual cardiovascular and strength training programs while supervising the use of any equipment involved in the training routine* Establishing and maintaining accurate, current documentation records for each member* Developing and implementing safe and effective fitness programs as directed by the Personal Training Team Leader* Providing consistent, accurate, quality information to educate the members regarding health and fitness* Customer Service/Member Retention* Provide exceptional service to all Brick Bodies members and guests* Monitoring the fitness floor to help members achieve their goals* Assisting and promoting club programs and events* Soliciting and responding to member feedback regarding club or program activities and communicating the information to managementAdditional Responsibilities* Assisting with the maintenance of the fitness equipment* Performing daily equipment cleaning as needed or directed by the Personal Training Team Leader or GM* Attending all scheduled Personal Trainer meetings* Must complete all paperwork in a timely fashion* Completing on-going educational requirements for the job.* Must follow all policies as outlined in the Associate Handbook, Personal Trainer Policies and the website, including uniform policy, schedules, attendance, education, cleaning, etc* Cleaning duties as assigned by the club leadership team, including but not limited to, cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting work out equipment, group fitness studios, work stations, locker rooms and restrooms.Values* Role-model the Brick Bodies values; Loyalty, Integrity & Service* Recognize and praise behavior aligned with our values* Identify opportunities for continual improvementQualificationsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORSKILLS/EXPERIENCE* Certifications from one of the following: NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or AFFA* Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology desirable* Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification* Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills* Positive attitude with the commitment to excellence* Strong organizational skills* Effective written and verbal communication skills* Basic computer skills, experience with Mind Body a plus* Effective time management skills* Effective analyzing skillsSPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS* Self-motivated* Strong work ethic* Resourceful, creative, decisive* Perseverance* Goal oriented* Personal commitment to health and fitness
