JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for administering employee benefit programs, employee relations and handling employee comments and concerns pertaining to benefit programs in a timely fashion. As well as administering the Company s 401(k) and handling employee comments and concerns pertaining to this area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides and communicates benefit programs to employees. Answers general inquiries and provides a high level of customer service to employees regarding benefits procedures, policies, eligibility rules and regulations to ensure retention. Generates leave and benefits correspondence, process reports and determine leave and benefit eligibility. Maintains enrollment, change records and adjustments/changes to benefit elections while ensuring timely submission of enrollments and terminations. Assists employees with problem resolution, processing claims and understanding benefit options. Reconciles monthly benefits bill for accuracy and submits for payment in a timely manner. Communicates and participates in annual open enrollment and new hire enrollment. Report, maintain and monitor all STD/LTD case files; follow-up on open cases. Directs STD and LTD employees to COBRA after 90 days. Submits all paperwork and reports for STD/LTD and required information in timely manner to ensure payments to employees. Follows up on investigation of all incidents with Risk to maintain required appropriate Family Medical Leave paperwork. Functions as liaison with insurance companies, Safety and Insurance Departments and employees. Lead on all 401(k) requests from employees - including but not limited to hardship withdrawals, changes of addresses, etc. Answers general inquiries and provides a high level of customer service to employees regarding 401(k) procedures, policies, eligibility rules and regulations to ensure retention while maintaining IRS compliance. Generates correspondence, process reports and determines eligibility for hardship withdrawals. Maintains Fidelity PSW website for reporting. Maintains Benefit Contracts Library for Vane and proofs for continuity of Benefits. Communicates benefit programs to employees during new hire orientation. Ensures timely submission of enrollments and terminations for 401(k). Assists employees with problem resolution as it pertains to 401(k). Lead in gathering and transmitting information for annual 401(k) audit and 5500 reporting. Functions as liaison between 401(k) provider, auditors and employees. Responsible for additional match notifications for 401(k). Other duties as assigned.
