An Overview
The Senior Public Benefits Programs Data Analyst is responsible for using statistical methods to analyze the Public Benefits Programs data captured in State databases including VaCMS, MMIS, ADAPTRO, Fusion, Q-Flow, Data Warehouse and other systems. The incumbent generates reports to improve and support the efficient and effective functioning of the division. These reports must present a comprehensive picture of the Benefit Programs recipients’ needs, and services, and gaps. Senior Public Benefits Programs Data Analyst identifies, analyzes and interprets trends and patterns in data sets. Senior Public Benefits Programs Data Analyst develops, implements, and maintains data collection systems and other strategies that ensure data integrity and quality. Creates customized reports and develops measures to track progress for meeting state compliance. Senior Public Benefits Programs Data Analyst provides leadership in setting up requirements and processes to ensure important data elements are captured from Data Warehouse and VACMS user applications. The incumbent extracts data from state systems user applications and external data sources and transfers them into dashboards using data visualization tools. He/she will also produce ad-hoc and regular reports as well as prepare and deliver presentations to meet the needs of internal stakeholders and community and state partners.
