Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate the organizational structure to ensure that assigned manpower and resources are used with the optimum balance between economy, efficiency, skill utilization, and mission accomplishment.
  • Act for and represent the Director in program planning matters, discussing and resolving problems.
  • Initiate and lead studies and projects including development of methods for measuring program success and achievement of objectives.
  • Responsible for the entire project including preparation of a final report with findings, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Maintain continuous surveillance over all resourcing initiatives with the goal being to improve overall productivity, increase efficiency, and conserve manpower, monetary, and material resources.
  • Supervise logistical support, while conducting extensive research on cultural and ethnic groups for designing public displays and speeches.
  • Compile and analyze data to see if it meets reporting requirements and that it complies with legal and regulatory guidance.
  • Formulate short-and-long-range Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) resource and planning requirements based on current and projected mission requirements.
  • Review systemic factors related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program effectiveness such as regulatory compliance, work-flow, quality controls and availability of necessary resources.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Reviewing systemic factors related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program effectiveness such as regulatory compliance, quality controls and availability of necessary resources and recommends corrective action as needed; Compiling and analyzing data to see if it meets reporting requirements and that it is in compliance with legal and regulatory guidance; and Identifying developmental and training needs of employees and providing and/or arranging for needed developmental and training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
