Collaborate with the HR team and business sector management in the development of employee relations strategies to drive positive change.

Essential Job Functions:

Manage full employee relations lifecycle including dealing with harassment, discrimination and other EEO complaints by establishing investigation plans, conducting investigations, recommending resolutions and partnering with management and employees in implementation of the resolution.

Develop and implement an employee relations training program for managers.

Advise HR personnel and managers in developing, presenting and implementing disciplinary actions, including Performance Improvement Plans.

Assist managers as appropriate with particularly sensitive annual performance evaluations.

Maintain ER metrics and review on a quarterly basis to assess where action can be taken to improve a process or provide more in-depth counseling or training.

In a timely manner identify and escalate matters to the General Counsel on issues which pose a significant risk to the business.

Stay current with applicable employment-related laws, rules and regulations.

Prepare memoranda and other communications to Human Resources and management on employment law and regulatory developments affecting the enterprise.

Maintain and revise company policies/procedures as necessary to implement employment law and regulatory changes.

Over time build out the Employee Relations function.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor's degree is required.

At least 8 years of Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the professional and technical services arena.

5+ years conducting ER investigations, partnering with and coaching managers.

Experience with building an ER function from the ground up preferred.

Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ADEA.

Proven ability to be an objective and trusted advisor for HR personnel and managers by building strong partnerships.

Ability to prioritize conflicting demands focused on delivering solid and consistent results.

Ability to consistently exhibit high levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.

Solid sense of accountability, high-quality judgment and sound decision-making.

Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills and ability to influence others.

Comfortable both presenting to senior leaders and communicating with individual contributors.

Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and comfortable working on matters that are gray.

Superb communication skills including effective listening, writing and presenting; ability to express thoughts in a clear and concise manner.

Demonstrated experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and to cultivate relationships across the organization.

Demonstrate empathy at all times especially when dealing with matters of diversity and inclusion.

Skilled in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint.

Desired Skills:

Master's degree.

GovCon experience a plus.
