This is a regular full time position assigned to the marketing department of the 633 Force Support Squadron at Langley AFB.

Responsibilities

Assists in design, promotion and printing of marketing publicity materials for all JBLE Force Support functions within the 633 Force Support Squadron and 733 Force Support Division. Under the direction of the Chief of Marketing, assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Using standard industry practice, computer software and/or instruments specifically developed for use within JBLE Force Support, adapts or modifies research techniques for local purposes. Prepares surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists the Marketing Chief in analyzing results. Keeps the Marketing Chief informed of consumer trends and their application to the FSS/MWR activities. Makes recommendations to the Marketing Chief on program modifications and enhancements. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs and offers from activities. Operates print shop machines and track for quality control to include; filling print work requests, delivery to FSS/MWR activities, ordering, restocking and inventory of supplies. Responsible for printing/delivery (i, e flyers, brochures, calendars, posters, pamphlets, tickets, coupons, certificates, booklets, table tents and other print materials). Ensures information is accurate and formatted using a graphic/photo software and printed in a timely manner. Proof and edits all work before submitting to Chief of Marketing for review before final publishing. Assists with socia lmedia programs. Assists in planning marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in JBLE Force Support activities by considering the characteristics of the target audience and the media mix necessary to reach them. Assists with photographic support for JBLE Force Support functions. Prepares briefings slides in support of JBLE Outreach Programs such as Newcomer's Orientation, FTAC, Commander's Calls and Community Event Councils (CEC). Operates a government vehicle in the performance of daily duties. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience which provides a general knowledge of marketing and publicity principles and practices. Experience operating print shop equipment (i.e printers, poster machines, lamination, mounting and binding services). Experience in desk top publishing software, word processing and other software. Experience to arrange and compose promo print material and maintain well-organized files.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
