The Consumer Directed Services Manager serves as the liaison between Optima and the consumer directed services contracted F/EA and among various internal departments. The Consumer-Directed model of service delivery permits the Member, or an individual designated by the Member, to employ attendants and direct their personal care and respite services. This position manages activities through direct and indirect staff to schedule resources, provide technical direction, future planning, support, and enhancement practices for the consumer-directed model. Provides leadership and management directly to the Consumer Directed Care Coordinators. Evaluates employee performance and provides development and training of staff. Contact with the public is moderate and specific to the Consumer Directed Services program. The Consumer Directed Services Manager has significant strategic impact on current and future success of Optima Consumer Directed Services. This includes coordinating and completing assigned projects to effectively support the immediate and long range objectives of the company. Perform other duties as required.

Bachelor's Level Degree

Experience
Required: Leadership - 3 years, Project Management - 2 years, Supervisory - 1 year

Preferred: Healthcare - 3 years, Managed Care - 3 years

Prefer candidate with minimum of 3 yrs. experience working in a consumer driven service organization specifically focused on Medicaid and/or disabled and/or vulnerable members. Or experience within a clinical or non-clinical operations leadership or project management role in managed care.
