Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group in collaboration with its client, a Fortune 500 Government contractor, is searching for a proactive AR/Billing Specialist. The Specialist will be responsible for preparing and analyzing schedules for account receivables. They will review all invoices and provide support, timely and accurately. Responsibilities:
  • Periodic reconciliation of accounts receivable; administer A/R aging status
  • Prepare and review billing invoices, for all assigned projects and tasks
  • Analyze transaction information to identify delinquent accounts and insufficient payments
  • Maintain records of all customer payments, receipts and other transaction records
  • Contact clients by sending bill reminders to facilitate complete payment of invoices due
  • Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of billing/invoicing issues
  • Resolve any discrepancies identified in monthly billing numbers and explain variances
  • Verify, classify, post and record accounts receivables' data
  • Audit the billing information entered in the database
  • Prepare and review credit memos as needed
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closing
  • Support special projects or initiatives

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Position requires U.S Citizenship
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of experience in billing, invoicing and/or government contracting
  • Strong knowledge of billing and invoicing techniques/procedures
  • Experience in billing working within/for federal agencies is highly desired
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications; intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers and provide excellent customer support
  • Ability to multi-task; prioritize and manage a large range of responsibilities
  • Solid analytical, reconciliation and customer service skills
