Dewberry, an AEC industry national professional services firm, is currently seeking a highly experienced JDE Senior Systems Analyst/Developer to join our Information Technology Group in our Fairfax, VA office to provide primary functional and technical support for the procurement, subcontract management, financial, HR/payroll, job cost and contract billing modules for the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application suite.

In this position, the specialist will formulate the EnterpriseOne applications to align with the overall business goals and objectives through collaboration with Dewberry management, staff and end users to design, develop and implement system solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong full cycle implementation and upgrade skills, client service and project management skills, as well as exceptional communication skills. While functioning as part of a cohesive JDE support team, this person must also be able to work independently with internal end users to assist them with their JDE functional and technical processing and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and technical support for the procurement, subcontract management, financial, HR/payroll, job cost and contract billing modules for the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne version 9.1 ERP Software
  • Effectively communicate, work with and liaise between internal JDE clients (management, staff, and end users), JDE support team members (management and staff), other IT groups and 3rd-party vendors
  • Assist in defining functional and technical implementation project plans
  • Develop functional and technical requirements, specifications and end user documentation
  • W ork with other JDE functional team members and users to perform unit and integration testing
  • Directly support end users with application related issues
  • Analyze, design, and develop new business applications and application enhancements
  • Develop and implement system interfaces and integration programs
  • Develop data conversion programs and perform data migrations
  • Develop new custom reports and enhance existing reports
  • Develop SQL scripts from functional specifications to update tables
  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures
  • Train end users to operate new or modified programs
  • Run software performance tests to isolate areas for improvement and perform general debugging
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software updates and upgrades
  • Work with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products and for resolution of issues
  • Conduct research on emerging JDE functionality and enhancements and complementary software
  • Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards
  • Support J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC, BI, One View watch lists and reporting, AIS and mobile
  • No travel


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in systems analysis, design and development with at least 7 years in J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne applications and development tools
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS or related field is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne version 9.1 procurement, subcontract management, financial, HR/payroll, job cost and contract billing applications and data structures
  • Solid experience in J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne version 9.1 development tools (e.g. Object Management Workbench, Data Dictionary, Table Design, Business View Design, Form Design, Report Design, Business Function Design, Event Rules, Processing Option Design, Menu Design, Application Debugger, Visual ER Compare, Universal Table Browser, Table Conversion, Web Generation etc.)
  • Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills with proven multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to formulate application solutions and program logic from business requirements
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot application issues
  • Direct experience developing in a C++ VB environment
  • Direct experience developing in a Windows 2008 R2 and HTML client/server environment
  • Strong MS SQL Server skills
  • Thorough understanding of relational database concepts, client-server concepts and web environments
  • Flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly self motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office environment (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen



Preferred Requirements:


  • Bottomline Technologies Create!form design and development experience
  • Knowledge of J.D. Edwards Application Interface Server
  • Knowledge of the Vertex interface for payroll
  • Experience in J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne version 9.1 CNC (e.g. server manager, OCM , object promotion, package build and deploys, ESU/ASU installation, system debugging and administration etc.)
  • Experience with the EnterpriseOne workflow tool
  • Integration of ERP systems with budgeting and business intelligence software
